This show is a must-see for anyone that enjoys the sidesplitting humor of Gilbert Gottfried. Beginning as a humble stand-up comedian in New York City at just 15 years of age, Gilbert quickly mastered the art and was hired in 1980 to star on NBC’s Saturday Night Live. This led to several television appearances ranging from “The Cosby Show” to “Late Night with David Letterman”.
Gottfried’s work in television soon led him to roles in film. Most notable was his improvised scene as business manager Sidney Bernstein in the hit sequel "Beverly Hills Cop II," for which the New York Daily News said, “Gilbert Gottfried steals the picture with a single scene.” Gottfried began to gain a reputation as the king of quirky roles with appearances in movies such as "Problem Child," "Problem Child II," "Look Who's Talking II" and "The Adventures of Ford Fairlane."
Today, Gottfried’s signature voice is heard in several cartoons and commercials including the frustrated duck on AFLAC Insurance commercials and the voice of DIGIT in the PBS series “Cyberchase”. In addition, he regularly made appearance on “Hollywood Squares” and frequents the sets of “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and “The Howard Stern Show”.
“Gilbert Gottfried Dirty Jokes” was recently released on both DVD and CD, featuring 50 non-stop minutes of some of the funniest jokes ever. Filmed live at the Gotham Comedy Club in New York City, this show also features some of the funniest bonus features ever. For this live performance, Gottfried puts aside political correctness and fires an onslaught of jokes that know no boundaries.
