WHEELING, W.Va. (February 10, 2008) — Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack announced they will cancel their live greyhound racing 1pm posttime on Monday, February 11, 2008 due to cold temperatures. Their regular live racing schedule will resume on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 with a 1pm posttime.
Wheeling Island's other gaming operations including 2,000 slot machines, 43 table games, 20-table poker room, hotel accommodations and 6 restaurants remain open and operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
