Employee campaign concludes with a $35,342 donation to benefit the United Way-Upper Ohio Valley 22 member agencies
WHEELING, W.Va. (Tuesday, March 4, 2008) — Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack presented a $35,342 check to George Smoulder, Executive Director of the United Way-Upper Ohio Valley on Tuesday, March 4, 2008. The check represented the conclusion of the casino’s 2008 employee campaign.
Also on hand for the check presentation was Jim Squibb, Campaign Chairman, Bob Marshall, Wheeling Island President and General Manager and Jim Simms, Wheeling Island Vice President of Marketing.
“We are extremely proud of the generous contribution our employees have shown to the United Way,” said Marshall. “This donation will go a long way in helping the Untied Way’s 22 member agencies provide health and human services to thousands across the Ohio Valley,” continued Marshall.
